Fofe consists of a few houses and one bar/restaurant (a converted rectory). It belongs to the town of Covelo, approximately 10 minutes drive away. In between you will find more hamlets with restaurants, bakeries and pharmacies. Covelo has more bars and restaurants, supermarket, doctors surgery, bank and chemist and is well connected to the larger towns of Ponteareas and A Caniza. Beyond Ponteareas is Vigo, a modern City with popular beaches and extensive harbours. At one end are the quiet bays and warm waters of Cangas and at the other end, the busy tourist town of Baiona. Vigo airport offers a variety of internal flights as well as a regular service to London and Paris. A range of other European cities are serviced by Santiago airport to the North and Porto airport to the South.
