Stunning luxury villa located on a hillside overlooking the sea....
This amazing property enjoys a privileged location near Vigo and Pontevedra and enjoys great privacy with open panoramic sea views from the garden and pool.
It was originally built in 1900 and was completely renovated in 2009 and converted into a luxury holiday villa offering high quality accommodation and facilities.
It is a large and spacious property with 6 en-suite bedrooms. They are all located in the upper floor and with direct access to the lovely covered terrace where we find a nice seating area with table and chairs and a peaceful stone fish pond with a water fountain. Four of the bedrooms share the same entrance hall and the other two have independent entrances.
Both the house and garden have been beautifully decorated using many traditional and historical elements inherited by the family from generations. You will find perfect detail in each corner of every room and will enjoy the different comfortable sitting areas where you can just relax reading a book, drinking a glass of wine, etc.
We find a little lovely sitting place surrounded by the remains of and old stone wall which could perfectly be called "lovers garden hideaway" from where you have stunning views of the sea and far away villages, mountains and countryside.
The salted water swimming pool really enjoys a very attractive spot overlooking a great natural scenery. At night the views are also fantastic with all the lights from the near and far away villages and the reflection of the moon on the calmed sea water.... It is just like a beautiful painting that you must come see.
Only five minutes walk from the house we find a local tapas bar and 1km away there are more restaurants, groceries shops, pharmacy, etc.
The nearest beach is found just 2km away, but some of the most stunning and unspoilt white sandy beaches in the area of Cangas are about 10-15 minutes drive away.

IInfo About the Area:
Only 9km from Pontevedra, on the slope of the Morrazo peninsula and bathed in the Vigo Ria, you will find Vilaboa, a traditional fishing region composed of the fishing port of Santa Cristina de Cobres and the mussel port of San Adri?n. Perhaps Vilaboa´s biggest attractions are the three nature preserves it shares with other regions: Cotorredondo, encompassing Castiñeiras Lake and a natural lookout over the rias; the cove of San Simon, a nature preserve teeming with bird life at the end of the Vigo Ria, the mouth of the Verdugo River; and the Morrazo mountains, with their characteristically Atlantic plant life. Besides these protected areas, you can marvel at the beauty of other natural spots, like the Domaio mountains, Vilaboa cove, and Barrio de Paredes, with the old Ull? saltworks, its deep valley crowded with pine, oak, willow, and birch trees, and the wetlands that serve as a refuge to a large colony of migratory birds.
Rural Art
There are also some very interesting rock carvings found in the area surrounding Lake Castiñeiras, and a tidal waterwheel in Vilaboa. The ruins of Ubeiras Castle, which watched over the entrance to San Sim?n cove from the Strait of Rande, are worth seeing, as are the Acu?a cruceiro (carved stone cross), Casa Barreira, and the parish church in Vilaboa.
Cobres Carnival
The Cobres Carnival has been declared of Tourist Galician Interest. The tradition there centers around the so called Dance of the Ladies and Gallants, in which the dancers wear heavy, brightly-colored hats and go from house to house singing and dancing and asking for donations. On Fat Tuesday it is customary to eat bandullo, a sweetbread made from milk, bread, sugar, and eggs, and later to take part in the corrida do galo (chicken run), in which the townsfolk try to steal a chicken from a group of men dressed as geezers who are in charge of keeping it from them.
Other Traditions
Another charming tradition is Los Maios, a spring festival celebrated in several regions in the province, but each in its own unique way. In Vilaboa, on May 1 the young men parade through town with a wooden frame that they have built and covered with flowers, all the while singing out verses about Vilaboa social life. Other traditions are also preserved besides the Carnival and Los Maios, like the marine parade of El Carmen; and the patron saints? days are celebrated, on the days of San Adrián and Santa Cristina, San Juan in Vilaboa, and San Benito in Figueirido.
Car Route from Pontevedra to Vilaboa:
This route starts in Pontevedra and finishes in Vilaboa, from the spring of the R?a de Pontevedra to the spring of the R?a de Vigo. This itinerary by car will allow us to meet the R?as Baixas traveling around its villages and towns and stopping in those places that impress the visitor because of their beauty and singularity.
The starting point is Pontevedra, capital of the R?as Baixas. We must stop in the city to walk around the old quarter and visit the Santa Mar?a Basilica, the Virxe da Peregrina Chapel, San Francisco Church, and Ferreria, Leña, Verdura, Mendez Nuñez and Mugartegui Squares. From Pontevedra, we take the PO-12 Road towards Marin, where we can see the Naval Academy from the village. We continue the route on the C-551 to Bueu. During the journey, we can see the beauty of some beaches from the Ria de Pontevedra. In Bueu, we can visit the Santa Cruz, Buril and O Casal palaces, as well as the fishing port.
Once we have visited Bueu, we can continue towards Beluso in order to drive to Udra Cape. From this cape, we can see beautiful landscapes of the R?a de Pontevedra, as well as the Ald?n inlet. If we take the Road 351, we will skirt aroun the inlet until we reach Ald?n towncenter. From there, we drive to H?o (Cangas) to visit the beautiful H?o Tranpset, which is considered the best example of this kind of Galician art. We leave H?o towards Cabo Home, an ecological area with two lighthouses and several routes to go on foot. Cliffs are rough and the power of the Atlantic Ocean will entertain us for some minutes. Once we have visited Cabo Home, we will move to Cangas, opposite to Vigo. Cangas has a fishing port that gives a marine environment to the village. Despite this, it is a place where the visitor can enjoy the gastronomy, the sea and the coast. We continue on the C-551 road to Domaio, passing by Moa?a and Meira. We can will drive under the magnificent Rande Bridge (N-554 road) to reach the end of our route: Vilaboa. This road allow us to see the San Simon Inlet, until we arrive to Vilaboa. Once we arrive, we must take a deviation in order to go to Castiñeiras Lake. From this place, the end of our route, we can see beautiful views of the R?a de Pontevedra and the Ria de Vigo, as well as walk on a nature reserve, where children and adults enjoy the contact with nature close to towns like Pontevera or Vigo.
