South coast, River Miño & Portugal

Discover the beautiful south coast of Rias Baixas and the border town of Valença do Minho in Portugal. The tour will take you to the historical town of Tui, whose old town was declared "Historic - Artistic place", making a special mention to its spectacular 12th century cathedral. Crossing the beautiful river Miño over the International bridge made by a disciple of Eiffel (Eiffel Tower), we find the lovely town of Valença do Minho in Portugal with a beautiful fort full of cobbled streets and monuments. Then, we will visit Sta. Trega (A Guarda), one of the best celtic settlements in Galicia with spectacular sea views. Then along de coastline, we will arrive to the picturesque seafaring village of Baiona, where Columbus took its Carabel Pinta to leave in search of America.

Itinerary:
Depart the hotel or other point of location

Stop 1. We head straight over to Tui to visit this historical town and its cathedral fortress dated back to 1120
Stop 2. Next we head over to Portugal to Valença do Minho, and spend some time walking around and shopping in this ancient little town which lies above the left bank of the River Miño
Stop 3. We stop to enjoy a three course lunch served with local wine
Stop 4. We head up to A Guarda to visit the famous Sta Trega Mountain, where one of the best celtic settlements in Galicia is located.
Stop 5. Our final stop is Baiona, a beautifully situated little port town with a lovely old town and a spectacular fortress converted in Hotel - Parador
